Hypnotherapy Healing
There are 3 parts to the mind – the conscious, the subconscious and the unconscious. The unconscious is responsible for all the automated responses of the body such as breathing and heartbeat, along with organ function and repair. The subconscious is where the survival mechanisms, mind patterns, habits and all various other learned processes of the body are stored.
It is like a continual recording and storage facility of your surroundings that never shuts down and never switches off, even for a moment. The conscious part of the mind is the analytical part, the portion of your brain the questions everything and is consciously analyzing it’s surroundings.
There is a bridge between the conscious and the subconscious part of the mind known as ‘the critical factor’ that acts as a protective doorway between the two. The subconscious mind’s job is to work as ‘protector’ and it performs this task 100% well. So if your analytical mind says “I’m so clumsy” then the subconscious will work to protect these findings by cross-referencing previous occasions of ‘clumsiness’ …and guess what? the clumsy thought process will kick in and you will become the clumsy person you believe that you are!
When unhealthy thought processes are created in the subconscious then ‘the critical factor’ will protect these ’survival processes’ from being infilterated. This is why is it sometimes very difficult to change bad habits, such as smoking or nail biting until we are able to bypass the critical factor and reprogram those thought processes. This is where a higher state of self awareness and mind exploration, such as hypnosis, comes into play.
